This is for the Christian single who loves God, is trying to grow spiritually but still struggles with sexual sin. I was you many years ago, so this month, I want to help you win.
First of all, you’re not struggling because you hate God. You’re struggling because temptation is specific… but your spiritual strategy has been general.
You read your Bible. You pray. You try to stay consistent. And then the urge hits—late at night, when you’re lonely, stressed, bored, or emotionally attached—and it’s like your mind forgets everything you read that morning.
If you’ve ever whispered, “What is wrong with me?” I want you to breathe for a second. This post isn’t here to shame you. It’s here to give you a clear, biblical system that actually matches how temptation works.
Why your Bible reading feels “powerful”… but still isn’t producing purity.
A lot of believers assume: “If I read the Bible every day, sexual purity will automatically follow.” But the reason it hasn’t been working for you may be simpler than you think: You haven’t learned how to use scripture specifically against sexual sin.
That’s the gap.
Not a lack of love for God.
Not a lack of sincerity.
Not a lack of “church”.
It’s a lack of a targeted method.
The “Concentrated Approach”: the purity strategy most people never build.
Here’s what I mean by the concentrated approach:
Instead of only reading broadly, you gather scriptures specifically about sexual purity, and you meditate on them daily until they rise up naturally when temptation starts. Then you turn those scriptures into prayer and personal declarations.
Think of it like this: General Bible reading is like “eating healthy”, while the concentrated approach is like “taking medicine for a specific infection.”
Both are good. But one is targeted for the exact battle you keep losing.
Why is this necessary?
Sexual sin is rarely random. Most of the time, it shows up in predictable moments like:
– late-night scrolling
– loneliness after a long day
– stress + emotional fatigue
– dating triggers (private hangouts, long calls, physical closeness)
– boredom that turns into curiosity
That’s why your purity strategy can’t be random either. You don’t need a verse that sounds nice to you, you need a verse that’s weaponized for the moment you’re weakest.
I taught this to a couple of single ladies in 2022 and the feedback was mind blowing, years of struggle and addiction broken.

The One Verse Method (starter system you can do today)
Compile your sexual purity scriptures (even if it’s just a short list at first). Pick one anchor verse for the week. Put it in your Notes app and set it as your lock screen. Read it morning and night. Speak it out loud when temptation starts. Turn it into a short prayer.
This is not “extra.” This is training. You’re training your mind to respond automatically when temptation begins—not 20 minutes later, when you’re already negotiating.
The hidden reason this works: it interrupts the negotiation stage
Temptation rarely starts with: “Let me ruin my life today.”
It usually starts with: “Just one look.” “Just one chat.” “Just one kiss.” “It’s been a hard day.” “God understands.”
The concentrated approach is powerful because it forces your mind to hear truth at the start of the process—not after the fall.
A quick self-check
Answer these honestly:
When temptation starts, do I already have scriptures for this exact moment?
Do I speak them out loud, or do I just try to “be strong” mentally? (Many of us just try to be strong & push through with our own strength).
Do I have a weekly rhythm, or am I relying on motivation?
If your answer is “no,” you don’t need more guilt. You need tools.

Want the fastest path to consistency? (Coaching)
If you read this and thought, “I need structure and guided help, not just inspiration. I need accountability and support, someone to walk me through this.” then coaching is likely your next step.
Because the real issue usually isn’t that you don’t know what God wants. It’s that you don’t have a system for the moments you’re tired, lonely, triggered, or emotionally attached.

FAQ (A recap for the questions you’re asking)
How do I stop sexual sin as a Christian?
Start with targeted scriptures for your specific temptation moments (not generic reading), then build a proactive plan and consistent accountability.
What is the concentrated approach to sexual purity?
It’s a focused method where you gather purity-specific scriptures, meditate on them daily, and practice using them in the exact moments temptation begins—so truth becomes your automatic response.
What if I’ve tried this and still keep falling?
Then you don’t need more shame. You need more structure—especially around triggers, patterns, boundaries, and support. That’s exactly why the tools and coaching exist.
If you’ve been struggling, take a minute to read through this again. The help you need is in it.
If you found this helpful, all I ask is that you share to bless others. Thank you.
